    Professor Xiaoming Tao, with over 500 publications, including 123 SCI journal papers, 5 research monographs and 13 granted patents, the research work on nanotechnology, photonic fibres and fabrics, electric fabrics, yarn spinning and textile composites has won her scholarships and prizes from USA, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Hong Kong and China.

    陶肖明教授的科研領域是紡織服裝科學技術,側重於先進的紡織材料科學與技術。曾發表五百多篇科學文獻,包括五本學術專著與十多項國際專利。在美國、英國、澳大利亞、新西蘭等國及國內(包括香港地區),多次獲得科研獎勵及獎金。

    Miss Song Lin Nan received her BA and MA in Fashion Design from Tianjin Polytechnic University in 2003 and 2006 respectively. From 2005 until now, she has been working as a research assistant in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Now, her research focuses on the application of smart textile, photonic fibers and display fabrics to fashion design.

    宋林南,2000年畢業于天津工業大學藝術與時裝設計學院並取得服裝設計文學學士學位,2006年于同校取得服裝設計碩士學位。自2005年至今,她在香港理工大學紡織與制衣學系工作,任職助理研究員。她的主要研究方向為服裝設計和先進服裝紡織材料技術及其實用性研究。

    In this work, the designer applies RadianFabTM , which is a proprietary technology for flexible fabric display to the design of an evening dress. The inspiration for the design comes from the beautiful, passionate, and energetic gypsy girl character in Georges Bizet’s famous opera “Carmen”.

    當今科技的進步為我們的世界帶來了許多光彩,設計師們將納米光導纖維的柔性織物顯示技術運用在了服裝上。此作品的靈感來自于比才的四幕舞歌劇“卡門”里灑脫而富有活力的吉普賽女郎。她光亮閃耀,婀娜多姿,像精靈一樣在人群中成爲焦點,給人强烈的視覺衝擊。
